BETA Technological Centre is a member of the UNITWIN network “Innovative, Sustainable and Clean Energy Research and Education“, a grouping of universities from all over the world working within the framework of the UNESCO Chairs and Networks programme. Its aim is to promote collaborative work internationally and between universities to enhance their own institutional capacities through knowledge sharing.
This network will establish new educational initiatives in the field of sustainable energy and generate innovation through research and enhancement of cultural diversity. For example, by organising free training courses in the field of clean energy and sustainability.
The UNITWIN/UNESCO Programme is implemented primarily in areas related to UNESCO’s fields of competence, such as education, natural and social sciences, culture and communication.
The UNESCO Chair “Innovative, Sustainable and Clean Energy Research and Education” is led by the Università di Genova together with different partners around the world, including CT BETA, and is initially established for a period of four years.
