A team from the BETA CT walks the 100 km of the Trailwalker organised by Oxfam Intermón.

They also collected more than 1,500 euros in donations, which will be used for new projects to improve access to safe water for vulnerable people

Last weekend a new edition of the Trailwalker took place in the Girona area, a sporting event organised by Ofxam Intermón with the aim of raising awareness of the inequality caused by the climate crisis. On this occasion, the UVic-UCC BETA Technology Centre was represented by a team formed by Maria Calderó, Berta Singla, Tiago Akaboci and Lluís Bertrans. They were also supported by Marta Manrubia and Joan Colón. The CT BETA team was able to complete the 100 km in approximately 24 hours.

The Trailwalker challenge consists of running as a team up to 100 km in a maximum of 32 hours or 50 km in a maximum of 16 hours, and also making a commitment to raise up to 1,500 euros per team in donations, which will go towards new projects to improve access to safe water for vulnerable people.
