CEAMSE (Coordinación Ecológica Área Metropolitana Sociedad del Estado) is a company created by the states of the Province of Buenos Aires and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to carry out the integrated management of solid urban waste in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area, and the development and conservation of green spaces.
This agreement made it possible to measure the impact of greenhouse gases generated by CEAMSE in the integrated management of urban solid waste and then work on measures to reduce them, based on:
- Carbon Footprint Measurement
- Life Cycle Analysis
- Analysis of Treatment Alternatives (Scenario Study).
The study has been carried out by a joint team from BETA TC and Fundación Sustentabilidad Sin Fronteras (Argentina), based in Buenos Aires and specialised in raising awareness and implementing projects on Climate Change.
