BETA TC, new member of the Bioenergy Cluster of Catalonia

The Bioenergy Cluster of Catalonia brings together various private entities of the bioenergy value chain

Since October, UVic-UCC has become a member of the Bioenergy Cluster of Catalonia, a non-profit association that represents the professional bioenergy sector in Catalonia which works to promote a sustainable use of bioenergy in the country. The BETA Technological Center will act as the university’s representative in this cluster, consolidating a series of collaborations that have been underway for a long time.

The Bioenergy Cluster of Catalonia brings together various private entities of the bioenergy value chain (from producers, installers to distributors) and places them near public administrations, research centers and consumers. Like the other clusters in which CT BETA actively participates (INNOVACC, the Catalan Water Partnership and the FOODSERVICE Cluster), being part of this one will be an opportunity to get in touch with the needs of the sector and at the same time help identify jointly the challenges it faces.

The Bioenergy Cluster of Catalonia is part of the “Catalunya Clústers” program of ACCIÓ, created with the aim to promote the competitiveness of the Catalan companies by sharing resources, generate synergies, develop joint projects and project internationally.
