Nagore Guerra Gorostegui, new PhD of the UVic-UCC
The tribunal awarded the thesis the qualification of Excellent "Cum Laude"
On 4 February, as part of the Doctoral Programme in Experimental Sciences and Technologies, the defence of the doctoral thesis of Nagore Guerra Gorostegui entitled “Obtaining new-generation biomass fuels and bio-based fertilisers from sludges through biodrying and advanced composting technologies to enhance the overall resource recovery of the water sector”, directed by Dr. Sergio Ponsá and Dr. Belén Puyuelo, was held.
The tribunal, formed by Dr. Francesco Fatone from the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Dr. Maria Isabel Mora Garrido from the Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya and Dr. Cristina Álvarez Requena from Las Rozas Innova, awarded the thesis the qualification of Excellent “Cum Laude”.
In the words of the doctor: “This thesis proposes solutions to produce new generation products of quality and high added value from sewage sludge that contribute to the alignment of the water sector with the challenges of the European circular economy”.
