The agri-livestock sector in Catalonia currently faces the main challenge of reducing the environmental impact of emissions to address the climate emergency. The application of Best Available Techniques (BAT) is essential to improve environmental management and sustainability in the agricultural sector. The complexity of these systems offers a wide range of opportunities to implement new mechanisms for emission mitigation and energy recovery from livestock manure. This demonstration activity aims to capitalize on the results of R&D&I projects conducted in recent years on emission management in the agri-livestock sector. The capitalization process involves several phases: mapping and analyzing recent projects with potential positive impact on the sector, organizing transfer activities to replicate and disseminate key results, and developing recommendations to improve decision-making both at the technical level and in public policies.
