Description:
The BETA Technology Center is made up of a young team of more than 120 researchers and is looking to incorporate a dynamic person who wants to be part of this project. We are looking for a Technician who will become part of the team of the Environmental Technologies and Circular Bioeconomy Unit of the BETA Technology Center, and who will be working in the offices of the BETA Technology Center in Soses, with the aim of executing projects that are developed jointly with companies in the Lleida region.
The Technician will support the researchers of this unit in carrying out experimental tasks, both in terms of field sampling and also in carrying out experiments in the laboratory and characterizing samples. The selected person will work mainly on projects in the field of gaseous emissions, including the monitoring of emissions on farms and other facilities and the application of the best available techniques to mitigate them.
We are looking for a motivated person, with initiative and a desire to grow professionally, who will actively contribute to the consolidation and projection of the BETA Technology Center in the lands of Lleida. Functions and tasks:
– Monitoring and measurement of gaseous emissions in various scenarios (composting piles, manure ponds, farms, etc.).
– Application of best available techniques for the mitigation of emissions on farms.
– Monitoring of composting experiments.
– Physicochemical characterization of samples.
– Support in the writing of results reports.

Requirements

Decree on the homologation of qualifications for teaching and research staff and administrative and service staff

According to Royal Decree 889/2022, it is necessary for people who present their candidacy for calls for teaching and research staff (PDI) or administrative and service staff (PAS) to have the homologation of qualifications issued abroad, since it is this homologation that qualifies them to exercise a regulated profession in Spain. The group of research staff (PI without teaching) is exempt from this obligation.

  • Title: Intermediate training cycle in areas related to the purpose of the call.
  • Accreditation of the level of proficiency in Catalan (level C1) or being able to obtain it.
  • Accreditation of the level B2 of English or being able to obtain it.
  • Good skills in carrying out experimental tasks.
  • Motivation, commitment and desire to learn.

Merits

• University degree in: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences or similar.
• Experience in characterization of samples and physicochemical analyses.
• Previous experience in environmental technologies.
