BETA Technology Center is formed by a young multidisciplinary team of more than 90 researchers, and is looking to incorporate a dynamic person eager to be part of this project. We are looking for an administrative technician, expert in the field of finance, to join the management team of the center.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the managers of the BETA center in the economic management of the projects, among other tasks, will prepare the economic justifications of the research projects, will also participate in other tasks such as the management of operating expenses of the projects, the management of the basal budget of the research group, apart from the accounting of credit reserves and various expenses, under the coordination of the head of the Project Management Unit and the head of Economic Management of the BETA Center and in collaboration with the Area of Economic and Personnel Management (AGEP).

Functions and tasks:

  • Control and management of the economic justification of research and knowledge transfer projects, as well as the compilation of the supporting documentation of the same.
  • Accounting of credit reserves and operating expenses related to research projects, knowledge transfer and general activity of the BETA center, among others.
  • Elaboration and processing of purchase and payment orders related to R&D&I activities, as well as management of associated minor contracts.
  • Review of the accounting related to the research activity.
  • Control and monitoring of the research group’s budget and processing of the execution of related expenses.
  • Participation in the budget monitoring by academic years both at the global level of the BETA center and specific projects.
  • Elaboration of economic reports.

Requirements

Decree of homologation of the degrees of the Research Teaching Staff and the Administration and Services Staff.

Based on Royal Decree 899/2022, persons who apply for the positions of Research Teaching Staff (PDI) and/or Administration and Services Staff (PAS) must present the homologation of the degrees issued abroad, since this is the one that enables them to exercise a regulated profession in Spain.

The group of Research Staff is exempt from this resolution.

  • Training Cycle Degree Level: Intermediate Level Training Cycle in the field of administration and finance, accounting or similar.
  • Accreditation of the level of Catalan proficiency (Level C1) or being in conditions to obtain it.
  • Accreditation of English level B2 or be in a position to obtain it.
  • Advanced command of the Office Package (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point).
  • More than two years of professional experience in economic management and accounting.
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as SAP
  • Ability to organize and work in a team
