The “Proxterra” project, led by Creacció and with the participation of CT BETA, meets in Vic
"Proxterra" aims to stimulate the demand for sustainable products, reaching various audiences
Last week took place in Vic the first face-to-face meeting of the consortium of “Proxterra”, a European project coordinated by Creacció, the Agency for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Knowledge of the Osona region, and funded by the Interreg POCTEFA Programme. With the BETA Technology Centre of the UVic-UCC among its partners, the main mission of “Proxterra” is to support the agri-food sector in various regions, including Osona, in its transition to a more sustainable model, both economically and environmentally and socially.
The consortium is confident that the results of the project will have a positive impact on all elements of the food chain, stimulating innovation in food production by improving the training of actors in the sector, for example by promoting sustainable packaging alternatives or encouraging new distribution models that favour local consumption through the use of digital tools.
“Proxterra” aims to stimulate the demand for sustainable products by reaching out to various audiences, such as end consumers and catering and tourism professionals, as well as public entities. Apart from Creacció and CT BETA, the project involves PRODECA, the Chambre de Commerce et Industrie Occitanie Midi-Pyrénées, the Chambre de Commerce et de Industrie des Pyrénées-Orientales, the Chambre de Agriculture d’Ariège, the Chambre de Agriculture des Pyrénées-Orientales and the Université de Pau et des Pays de Adour (UPPA).
