The BETA TC, present at the BIT Congress of Lleida
The Bioeconomy Congress of Catalonia (BIT) was held at the Congress Palace-La Llotja of Lleida
The BETA Technological Center of the UVic-UCC was present at the new edition of the Bioeconomy Congress of Catalonia (BIT), which was held at the Congress Palace-La Llotja of Lleida on Thursday 29th and Friday 30th September, in the framework of the Saint Miquel Fair. This is the second edition of the BIT Congress, after the one organized in Vic last March, with the aim of opening new spaces to learn about trends, innovations and business projects related to the bioeconomy.
During the first day of the congress, Mabel Mora, head of the Environmental Technologies and Circular Bioeconomy Area of CT BETA, participated in a thematic session on knowledge as a driver of the bioeconomy, in which she presented the results of the European project ACCELWATER on the reuse of wastewater in the food industry through recovery and reuse technologies.
Also in the framework of the BIT, the director of CT BETA, Sergio Ponsá, participated in the special program that Ràdio Lleida-SER broadcasted from the space Àgora BIT, being part of a round table discussion on the importance of knowledge and technology for the development of the bioeconomy.
In addition, CT BETA also had a permanent presence at the BIT EXPO, a stand shared with 12 research entities linked to the bioeconomy.
