CT BETA takes part in the kick-off session of the Bioeconomy R&D&I Network

La jornada va reunir grups de recerca i altres agents vinculats a la bioeconomia

The BETA Technological Centre of the UVic-UCC took part in the kick-off session of the Bioeconomy R&D&I Network, held on 10 April in Manresa. The initiative, promoted by BioHubCat with the support of CT BETA, aimed to foster a more structured collaboration among Catalan research groups and to highlight the existing technological assets across the region.

The session brought together research groups and other stakeholders linked to the bioeconomy, helping to strengthen connections and lay the foundations for the diagnosis, mapping and assessment of the ecosystem’s first technological solutions. In this context, participants shared their capabilities and began structuring the process for identifying, characterising and valorising these assets.

This action is part of a broader plan to roll out strategic activities within the Bioeconomy R&D&I Network, with the aim of facilitating knowledge transfer and its application in sectors such as agri-food, waste management and bioenergy. The approach seeks to turn existing scientific and technological potential into practical solutions with tangible territorial impact, in line with the Catalonia Bioeconomy Strategy 2030.

CT BETA’s participation in this session reflects its active role in coordinating and driving the bioeconomy R&D&I ecosystem in Catalonia.
