Meritxell Uroz Moya

Support technician

Meritxell Uroz is a biologist and holds a Master’s degree in Marine Biology: Biodiversity and Conservation. She studied the impact of nanoplastics on fish at the metabolic level and the determination of the ecological status of Mediterranean rivers at CERM. She has experience in field sampling and conducting experiments under controlled conditions. She has also worked as an environmental educator, conducting science outreach workshops and school outings to promote biodiversity and ecosystem conservation. She is currently the technician of the Applied Ecology and Global Change Unit, carrying out field and pilot plant sampling, as well as the various chemical and biological analyses necessary for the correct performance of the Unit’s projects.
