BETA Technological center was born in November 2014 as a team of only 3 people. The enthusiasm and effort of our young, dynamic and multidisciplinary team has led us to be currently 70 people working cohesively with the mission of contributing to the sustainable development of rural societies to improve their competitiveness and quality of life.
The main impulse to fulfill this mission is both the execution of RTDI projects in the field of agri-food systems and environment and the transfer to the private sector of innovative and competitive technology that incorporates sustainability criteria. Another key aspect of our success has always been the international vision and projection, which has led us to participate in numerous networks and projects, weaving collaborations with relevant Catalan, Spanish, European and international entities.

Researcher in the field of monitoring and valorisation of gaseous emissions
Es busca incorporar una persona investigadora en l’àmbit de les emissions gasoses dins l’equip de Tecnologies Ambientals i Bioeconomia Circular del Centre. La persona seleccionada treballarà en projectes europeus i de transferència de coneixement en aquest àmbit. A més, tindrà l’oportunitat d’impulsar nous projectes de recerca, establir noves col·laboracions amb empreses, dirigir tesis doctorals i assumir un paper clau en la consolidació d’aquesta línia de treball, altament estratègica, dins l’àmbit d’actuació del BETA.
European Funding and Proposals Specialist
We are seeking a specialist in European Funding and Proposal Preparation to support the Centre’s research staff in the preparation of competitive European proposals, as well as in the identification and monitoring of European funding opportunities. The selected person must have in-depth knowledge of the different competitive funding programmes, especially European ones such as Horizon Europe, Interreg, PRIMA and LIFE, among others. They will join the Centre’s pre-award team with a high degree of autonomy, responsibility and coordination capacity, providing support to research staff in the preparation of new competitive proposals, both those coordinated by the Centre itself and those in which the Centre participates as a partner.
European Funding and Proposals Senior Technician
We are seeking a European Funding and Proposal Development Senior Technician to support the Centre’s research staff in the preparation of competitive European proposals, as well as in the identification and monitoring of European funding opportunities. Analista ambiental especialista en teledecteció, sensòrica remota i sistemes d’informació geogràfica per a l’anàlisi ambiental i econòmica
La persona seleccionada s’incorporarà a la línia de recerca de Transició Digital Verda del Centre Tecnològic BETA com a responsable científica de les tasques relacionades amb la sensòrica remota i els sistemes d’informació geogràfica en diversos projectes europeus, així com en alguns projectes de transferència amb empreses. Es busca una persona especialista en teledetecció, sensòrica remota i sistemes d’informació geogràfica per a l’anàlisi de noves tecnologies i sistemes agroalimentaris, així com per al desenvolupament d’eines.
Sustainability Technician in Agri-food Systems
We are seeking a Sustainability Technician in Agri-food Systems to support the Centre’s research staff in the implementation of European projects in the field of sustainability assessment. The selected person will carry out tasks related to sustainability assessment in European projects and knowledge transfer projects with companies, in which technologies and production processes in the agri-food sector are assessed. They will also contribute to the development of databases aimed at improving the quantification of sustainability in this field.
