Friederike Vogel is an environmental scientist and manager specialized in environmental restoration. She is interested in studying the relationship between humans and the environment, as well as finding ways to reduce human impact. Her current research focuses on citizen science projects related to applied river ecology, river conservation, and science communication. She participated in the “We Read the River” project and is now part of the European project “Plastic Pirates” within the Applied Ecology and Global Change team.
