Dr. Joan Colón is a Biologist, PhD in Environmental Science and Technology. He is Scientific Coordinator of the Green Digital Transition at BETA Technological Center. His scientific interest is about biological treatment of solid wastes (e.g. composting, anaerobic digestion, biodrying), the treatment of gaseous pollutants and odors (e.g. biofiltration, chemical absorption) and the environmental evaluation and optimization of waste treatment technologies and industrial processes (e.g. LCA, carbon footprint, water footprint).
