Sameh Missaoui

Sameh Missaoui is an engineer in economics and rural development and is currently doing a co-tutelated thesis between the University of Sousse, Tunis and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). She obtained the European Union scholarship “Bourse d’excellence – 2018” to prepare her TFG at the Centre for Research in Agri-Food Economics and Development (CREDA) which focused on the economics of fisheries and aquaculture. She obtained her engineering degree in Economics and Rural Development at the Higher School of Agriculture in Mograne, Tunisia, in July 2018. Her PhD thesis focuses on the analysis of the preferences of the population and fishermen of Bizerte (Northern Tunisia) and their willingness to pay to restore the Bizerte lagoon. At the BETA TC, she contributes to the FOLOU project which focuses on the valorisation of Food Loss through LCA analysis for a sustainable food supply chain.
