Pablo Fernández Cancelo

Head of the instrumental analysis laboratory

Pablo Fernández Cancelo holds a degree in Chemistry and a doctorate in Agricultural and Food Science and Technology, with a doctoral thesis focused on studying the effect of environmental conditions on apple ripening and its susceptibility to postharvest diseases. He has experience in the field of analytical chemistry (including physicochemical, chromatographic, and spectroscopic techniques), molecular biology (cloning, transcriptomics, and proteomics), and microbiology. Currently, he works at the BETA centre as the head of the instrumental analysis laboratory.
