Oriol Sacristán-Soriano is a biologist and holds a PhD in Biodiversity. His research focuses on understanding how selective pressures—such as climate change or the presence of antibiotics in the environment—shape the diversity and functionality of environmental and host-associated microbiota in animals, both aquatic and terrestrial. He has a strong interest in omics technologies and graphical solutions. He has applied multiple bioinformatic pipelines to investigate the mechanisms and transmission routes of antimicrobial resistance in natural environments.
