Dr. Meritxell Abril is a Biologist, PhD in Fundamental and Applied Ecology. Her main expertise is in the field of stream ecology, and her research focuses on understanding how environmental stressors and climate change, especially extreme climatic events such as floods and droughts, affect the structure and functioning of aquatic ecosystems. She is also interested in the ecological effects of river management and restoration.
