Lluís Bertrans Tubau is an environmental scientist and biologist with a master’s degree in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity Management and a doctorate in Experimental Sciences and Technologies. His research focuses on evaluating aquatic biofilms as a nature-based solution for urban wastewater treatment, aiming to improve its quality and reduce environmental and socioeconomic impacts. He has experience in research and conservation projects at the local, regional, national, and European levels. He also works on the innovation of alternative technologies based on ecosystem services, geared towards the conservation and sustainable management of ecosystems.
