Eloi Monteis Toll graduated in Biology, with a specific mention in Fundamental Biology, from the University of Girona (UdG). Subsequently, he completed the official master’s degree in environmental Agrobiology at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB). Throughout his academic career he conducted research on how the application of different treatments of essential oils can affect the growth and production of horticultural species. He then participated in the research of a doctoral thesis on circular economy, focused on establishing a plant biofilter system for the transformation of slurry into biomass and bioenergy.
