Sustainability technician

Carmen Capdevila Murillo holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Barcelona (2023). In her thesis she addressed the definition and operationalisation of the concept of social sustainability in two agricultural systems, using a methodological combination of Social Life Cycle analysis and qualitative discourse analysis. In addition, she has worked on several projects on rural spaces from a social perspective, such as the role of silvopastoralism in rural development or the concept of rural citizenship.  At BETA she will work on the social evaluation of sustainability projects, with issues of social acceptance of new technologies and innovation.
