Ana Belén Benítez Téllez

Researcher

Ana Belén Benítez studied Biotechnology at the University of Cadiz and holds a master’s degree in applied and industrial biology from the University of Seville. During her career she has been mostly involved in projects related to microalgae. For example, to produce compounds for industry (during her stay at the National University of Ireland (NUI)), or more fundamental physiological studies involving genetic transformations (work done at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in France). She also has experience in the chemical industry, where she carried out physicochemical tests and studies on cosmetics. She is currently a fermentation technician at the BETA Technology Centre.
