Half of the organic farming hectares in Catalonia are vineyards, and preventive management techniques and biological control are the only options for managing pests. Trials in other geographical contexts have demonstrated the ability of bats to prey on and control the main pest insects affecting vineyards, a fact that the project aims to highlight through demonstration experiments in the D.O. Pla de Bages and Empordà.
