The purpose of the FANGS Circulars project is to develop and implement an interactive digital platform that centralizes and makes available to the sector all the information necessary to improve the management and valorization of urban and industrial sludge in Catalonia. This tool has been conceived as a practical instrument for companies, technology centers and public administrations, with the aim of facilitating strategic and operational decision-making, and promoting new value chains in the field of the circular bioeconomy.
Specific objectives:
- Centralize technical and regulatory information on the management and valorization of sludge in an accessible and interactive digital platform.
- Promote the valorization of sludge to generate bioproducts with added value (fertilizers, biostimulants, energy vectors, chemical bioproducts and construction materials).
- Strengthen the competitiveness of companies in the sector through access to applied knowledge and giving international visibility to Catalan solutions and success stories.
- Promote collaboration and connection between actors and intersectorial to boost the biowaste ecosystem.
- Facilitate innovation and technology transfer, bringing together companies, technology centers, technologists and public administration on the same platform.
Cooordinated by the Clúster de Residus de Catalunya, with the participation of CT BETA, SIMBIOSY and IRTA.
