Description:
The BETA Technology Centre is formed by a young, multidisciplinary team of more than 90 researchers, and is looking for a dynamic person who is eager to be part of this project. We are looking for a Senior Technician in competitive projects in the field of Governance for Sustainability to join the team of the centre.
The selected person will join the sustainability governance team of the BETA Technology Centre and will be mainly responsible for the implementation and technical management of the Horizon Europe CSSBOOST project, supporting the principal investigator, to ensure the correct implementation of the project within the required deadlines and formats. The main objective of CSSBOOST is to facilitate the transition towards a circular economy and bioeconomy in any city, region or group of regions in the EU, through Circular Systemic Solutions (CSS). The selected person will also support other projects in the field of governance (i.e. HE NUTRI-KNOW).

 

Functions and duties:
– Technical management of European projects (especially Horizon Europe).
– Research the impact of Circular Systemic Solutions (CSS) in different sectors and their intersections.
– Create and manage a cross-regional knowledge base including regulatory framework, EU policies, funding opportunities and business models.
– Identify new cross-regional circular economy opportunities and create new business models.
– Fulfil the creation, delivery and follow-up of the different deliverables of the project.
– Attend and participate in the different project meetings, representing the BETA Technology Centre.
– Support in the implementation and monitoring of other strategic projects in the field of governance.
– Support in the drafting of new proposals for competitive funding.

Requirements

Spanish Decree on recognition of qualifications of teaching and research staff, and service staff

According to Spanish Royal Decree 889/2022, those who apply for teaching and research staff (PDI) or service staff (PAS) posts should have any qualifications issued abroad officially recognised in Spain, since such approval qualifies for the exercise of regulated professions in Spain. Research-only staff are exempt from this requirement.

  • Vocational training: Advanced training course in fields related to the call.
  • Certification of Level C1 in Catalan or commitment to obtain it.
  • Accreditation of Level B2 English or commitment to obtain it.
  • Advanced command of the Office package (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point).
  • Experience in project management, preferably at university or research centre level.
  • Expertise in sustainability, bioeconomy, green and circular economy.
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Strategic, systemic and dynamic vision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Merits

– University degree in the field of environmental or similar.
– PhD in the field of environmental or similar.
– Previous experience in technical management of competitive research projects.
– Knowledge of European and international R+D+i funding programs, especially knowledge of the Horizon Europe Program.
– Experience in projects in the field of knowledge
– Additional training or experience in research management and knowledge transfer.
