The BETA Technology Center is made up of a young multidisciplinary team of more than 100 researchers and seeks to incorporate a dynamic person who wants to be part of this adventure. We are looking for a junior postdoctoral researcher with experience in the area of soil and nutrient management.
The selected person will participate in various European and national projects related to the proper management of nutrients in the soil. Specifically, it will participate in the European projects NUTRIBUDGET and HARVREST where it will work mainly on the application of mitigation measures to optimize the nutrient flows of three agricultural pillars (livestock, crops and agroprocesses) and on obtaining new knowledge related to the interaction between renewable energies and agricultural practices, looking for solutions that take advantage of mutual benefits.

Functions and duties:
• Planning and execution of biochemical, biotechnological and/or microbiological laboratory tests for the agronomic evaluation of mitigation measures.
• Planning and execution of field experiments on the implementation of mitigation measures.
• Development of new soil analysis methodologies.
• Development of soil and nutrient management fertilization strategies.
• Participation in the preparation of new proposals for national and international projects to attract new funding.

Requirements
- PhD in the field: Agronomy, Biotechnology, Plant Production, Environmental Sciences, Soil Science or similar. #(o tenir la tesi doctoral defensada en el moment de la contractació)#
- Title: Degree in Agronomy, Biotechnology, Plant Production, Environmental Sciences, Soil Science or similar.
- Certification of Level C1 in Catalan or commitment to obtain it
- Accreditation of Level B2 English or commitment to obtain it
- Experience in soil and nutrient management such as agronomic yield, nutrient balance, fertilization strategies, etc.
- Experience with physicochemical, biochemical, biotechnological and/or microbiological methods for determining soil quality.
- Experience in field trials and collaboration with multiple actors.
- Scientific publications in the proposed field of research.
- Good communication skills (written and oral) and ability to work independently and with internal and external teams in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
Merits

- Knowledge of digital agriculture and/or precision agriculture and experience in GIS (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIs).
- Previous experience in the preparation and execution of competitive R+D projects (Horizon Europe, LIFE, Interreg, etc.).
