We are looking for a European Competitive Projects Specialist to join the centre’s management team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, coordination and monitoring of European competitive projects, working alongside the research staff in charge of the projects to ensure their proper implementation in accordance with the deadlines, requirements and objectives set by each funding body.
This is a role specialising in Research Management and Administration (RMA), focused on comprehensive project management.
The successful candidate will play a key role in project management throughout its implementation, ensuring effective coordination between internal teams, consortium partners and funding agencies.
In the case of coordinated projects, the successful candidate will act as Project Manager / RMA specialist, liaising between consortium members, the funding agency and internal teams, particularly in the areas of operational coordination, administrative monitoring, compliance with requirements and support for the overall implementation of the project.
They may also manage non-coordinated European projects and may participate in the preparation of funding proposals linked to the strengthening and development of the office itself, as well as in the implementation of the office’s internal projects.
Functions and duties:
Active involvement in the end-to-end management of competitive European projects, from launch through to closure.

Tasks include:

• Involvement in project launch and in defining internal monitoring and implementation mechanisms.
• Preparation, review and management of project agreements (Grant Agreement, Consortium Agreement) and any potential changes or amendments.
• Technical and operational monitoring of the project in collaboration with the project lead partner (IP): planning of deliverables, reports, milestones, results and timelines, and risk monitoring.
• Organisation and facilitation of meetings and events related to the project, both internal and with external partners.
• Coordination of communication flows between consortium members, as well as with the funding body, and support with project-related document management.
• Overall monitoring of project resources and the budget, in coordination with the relevant departments, to ensure the project is carried out correctly.
• Responsible for the processes of justification, reporting and audit preparation, in coordination with and with the support of other staff and units involved.
• Recording, maintaining and updating project information in internal management tools.
• Providing methodological and operational support to junior staff within the organisation on matters relating to project management and monitoring.
• Participating in the delivery of strategic projects within the project office and in the consolidation of project management processes, tools and criteria.
