CT BETA participated in the first Agrobiotech Innovation Forum, which was held at the Fira de Lleida

As part of the official programme, CT BETA had its own stand and organised a technical conference dedicated to the management and valorisation of nutrients for agricultural use

Several representatives of the BETA Technology Centre actively participated in the Agrobiotech Innovation Forum, which took place last week. This forum is a new professional meeting point focused on innovation and knowledge transfer in biotechnology, agriculture, food, and the environment. It seeks to connect research centres, companies, and administrations to promote projects with high technological and territorial impact.

As part of the official programme, CT BETA had its own stand and organised a technical conference dedicated to the management and valorisation of nutrients for agricultural use. Topics addressed included the state of the nutrient balance in Catalonia, the latest developments in the current regulatory framework, emerging valorisation technologies, the evolution of the biofertiliser market, and four business success stories in the sector. The day also included presentations of high-impact R&D&I projects aimed at developing innovative solutions to improve the efficiency with which resources are used and to move towards more sustainable agricultural systems.

CT BETA’s participation in this forum has strengthened knowledge exchange with other sector stakeholders and advanced the promotion of technological solutions applicable to rural areas. Overall, the first Agrobiotech Innovation Forum has strengthened new contacts and ways of cooperation that could lead to future innovation projects.

In addition to their own activities, CT BETA representatives participated in several sessions held within the forum’s framework, including those organised by BioHubCat and focusing on the Technology Demonstration Projects of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
