Mayra Vázquez Martínez

Sustainability technician

Mayra Vázquez Martínez is a biologist (UAM, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana de México) with a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability (UAB, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona). Her professional career has focused on environmental projects oriented towards sustainability, highlighting her contribution to initiatives to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, within the framework of the REDD+ mechanism. She has also collaborated in the Disaster Risk Reduction Programme of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). She is currently working as a sustainability technician at the BETA Technology Centre.
