Dr. Laura Mejias is a Biotechnologist, MSC in Biological and Environmental Engineering, and PhD in Environmental Science and Technology. Her expertise is in the field of Solid-State Fermentation technology applied for solid organic waste valorisation and production of add-valued bioproducts. Her research during the Industrial PhD was focused on the assessment, optimization, and scale up to an industrial demonstration of the SSF technology for biowaste digestate valorisation, producing biopesticides derived from Bacillus thuringiensis.
