Eric Serratosa holds a degree in Biology and an MSc in Ecology, Management and Restoration of Natural Environments. His professional work focuses on wildlife research and monitoring, with a particular emphasis on carnivorous mammals. Since his university years, he has specialised in this group and has devoted much of his career to the monitoring of mesocarnivores.

He currently coordinates a network of more than 160 collaborators and volunteers across Catalonia, integrating citizen science and camera trapping into mesocarnivore monitoring programmes. In parallel, his experience as an independent environmental consultant has enabled him to contribute to a wide range of research, conservation and environmental education projects, broadening his expertise to include the monitoring of other wildlife groups.
