Arnau Carreño Roca

Arnau Carreño is a Biotechnologist, MSc in Biomedicine, and he is finishing his PhD in Oceans and Human health in University of Girona. He has experience with marine ecosystem services and has worked in the prevention, mitigation and compensation of human activities related to blue economy in marine protected areas. He has worked in the Interreg PHAROS4MPAs project, assessing the socio-economic and environmental impacts of tourism and leisure related activities in Mediterranean marine protected areas. Moreover, he was granted a scholarship by the Tossa de Mar City Council in order to promote a healthy and sustainable tourism, while researching the benefits linked to the practice of several maritime activities in oncological patients.
