In Europe, 90 million tons of bio-waste are generated annually, with over half ending up in landfills or incineration. The CIRCULAR BIOCARBON project is working to implement a groundbreaking biorefinery to turn city organic waste into new resources.
This Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) project is hosting a webinar series through their City Interest Group, led by ICLEI Europe. The second webinar, part of Circular Week 2023, focuses on municipal bio-waste collection, demonstrating how purity in bio-waste can enhance value and fund collection systems. It will showcase best practices and allow for Q&A.
